Hotel Lancaster, A Boutique Parisian Hotel
There are so many fabulous grand, luxury hotels in Paris to choose from- The Four Seasons Hotel George V, The Ritz Paris, Le Bristol Paris- just to name a few. It can be such a hard choice! On my last trip to Paris I opted for understated luxury choosing to stay at an elegant boutique hotel, The Hotel Lancaster. Located right off the Champs-Élysees steps from the Arc de Triomphe, Hotel Lancaster did not disappoint.
Built in 1889 as a private mansion, it exudes luxury and elegance. As I stepped through the doors I felt like I was walking back in time into my own private Parisian home. The stylish decor created a peaceful, intimate ambience. After taking the small elevator up, I found my one bedroom suite with a charming living room and a long balcony overlooking not just the hotel’s outdoor garden but the gorgeous rooftop skylne only to be found in Paris. Adding to this elegeant atmosphere is an incredible collection of art and French antiques. Contemporary items appear throughout the various rooms as well.
The hotel also houses a two-Michelin-stars restaurant, La Table du Lancaster, featuring Master Chef, Julien Roucheteau. For foodies, this is a must!!! The staff is extremely helpful and provides excellent assistance with restaurants, sightseeing ideas, etc. The prime location allows for easy access to fabulous shopping and wonderful walks to the Tuileries and Paris’ incredible art insitituions and sights.
