The Musée Louvre is an incredible museum but can be very overwhelming to any visitor. The old masters works feel heavier than those exhibited in the neighboring Musée d’Orsay, but the Louvre is a must see. With this list you can see some of the highlights of the Louvre in less than two hours!

Fun fact: If you stretched out the three wings, the straight line would be 8 miles long. Its hard to choose artwork from a collection that displays 350,000 pieces. Happy touring!

An Icelandic Adventure

For ten years, I have wanted to go to Iceland. The idea of hiking glaciers, climbing in volcanic craters, and seeing the many waterfalls and other natural sites has always fascinated me. Finally Memorial Day weekend, we packed our bags and headed north. From the moment I stepped off the plane, I knew Iceland was going to be unlike anything I’d every seen. The landscape changes from volcanic lava fields reminiscent of the moon to grassy farm field, to large white-capped mountains. Check out my top highlights.

You’ve finally decided to head to the land of Fire and Ice- Iceland! A trip to the Golden Circle sights is a once in a lifetime experience. Iceland’s weather can change every ten minutes so it’s important to be prepared for anything. That doesn’t mean you can’t look good while hiking and climbing in the wet weather. Weather at this time of year (spring/early summer) typically brings temperatures between 42 F-55 F. During one day you can experience rain, sun, and wind. The key is layering, layering, layering!

Glamour, Art, Hip and Luxury.. a few words to begin to describe this incredible Miami Beach hotel. Think old hollywood 1950s glamour meets art and luxury. The hotel is the anchor of the new Faena art district which has breathed new life into this Miami Beach neighborhood. The Faena Hotel is one of Miami Beach’s newest “it” hotels. From the moment you walk into the lobby lined by gold columns and breathtaking murals of lush tropical scenes you are surrounded by the utlimate in luxury. The staff and concierge cannot do enough to help.

There are so many fabulous grand, luxury hotels in Paris to choose from- The Four Seasons Hotel George V, The Ritz Paris, Le Bristol Paris- just to name a few. It can be such a hard choice! On my last trip to Paris I opted for understated luxury choosing to stay at an elegant boutique hotel, The Hotel Lancaster. Located right off the Champs-Élysees steps from the Arc de Triomphe, Hotel Lancaster did not disappoint.

My Must See Paris Museums

Paris is one of the most beautiful, elegant cities in the world. It is a treasure trove of art, museums and sights. How to choose which ones to visit?? My last trip to Paris was only five days long. Enough time for me to visit my old favorites and include some new ones. If you plan to visit many of the museums and historical sights, purchase a Paris Pass. These can be bought online or your hotel concierge can purchase for you. One perk that makes for a great day is Paris Pass holders use separate entry lines which are often much shorter. Waiting on a long line is not a good way to start a visit to any museum!
